Dance for Dementia/TimeSlips training: Terms and Conditions
This tuition covers two components:
- Prerequisite online course (hosted by TimeSlips)
- In-person workshop at the Mark Morris Dance Center, according to the following schedule:

Cancellation policy: Workshop registrations paid on a credit card and canceled at least one week before the scheduled workshop will be fully refunded minus a US $15.00 credit card processing fee. Registration via bank transfer that are canceled more than one week before the scheduled start of the workshop are fully refundable minus a $10 processing fee. Refund requests for cancellations less than one week before the scheduled start of the workshop are considered on a case-by-case basis and may not be honored. In cases where a refund is not possible, credit for attendance at a future workshop will be offered.
In case of workshop cancelation or postponement, we will offer a full refund or credit for a future workshop. In the case of workshop cancelation, we are not responsible for any travel expenses you may have incurred.
All online payments occur through this certified, secure SSL-encrypted shopping cart and are processed by Discalced, Inc (dba Mark Morris Dance Group).
Affiliation: The information provided and created in this workshop is proprietary information for TimeSlips Creative Storytelling and Mark Morris Dance Group. By registering, you agree not to conduct secondary trainings based on this information without written permission of Mark Morris Dance Group.
You may not establish your own dementia-based teaching practice within the five boroughs of New York City without written permission of the Mark Morris Dance Group.
Any community-based classes you teach utilizing the techniques developed here must credit Mark Morris Dance Group and TimeSlips Creative Storytelling as the originators of this method.
Photo release: By registering, I hereby allow Dance for PD, Mark Morris Dance Group, and TimeSlips Creative Storytelling to publish or stream photographs or videos taken of me, and my name, for use in printed publications and website, as well as in publications and websites published by workshop hosts and presenting partners, as well as by local, regional or national media. In consideration for my voluntary participation in publications produced by any collaborator, I agree that I will receive no financial compensation. Furthermore, I agree that participation in any print or online publication produced by Dance for PD, Mark Morris Dance Group, TimeSlips, or any outside third party interests, confers no ownership or special rights whatsoever. I release Dance for PD, Mark Morris Dance Group, and TimeSlips and any outside third party interests for any claims of liability by me in connection with my participation in the production of these photographs.
Waiver: I understand that participating in the workshop may require mental judgment and a high degree of physical fitness, agility, stamina and strength, and that this may include strenuous exercise. I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which I may incur as a result of participating in the workshop. I, individually, and on behalf of my heirs, successors, assigns and personal representatives, hereby agree to discharge, release, and hold harmless the Dance for PD, Mark Morris Dance Group, and TimeSlips Creative Storytelling, their respective board members, trustees, officers, employees, agents and independent contractors, from any and all liability whatsoever for any and all damages, losses, or injuries (including death) I sustain to my person or property or both, including but not limited to any claims, demands, actions, causes of action, judgments, expenses and costs, including attorney’s fees, which arise out of, result from, occurring during, or are connected in any manner with my participation in the Workshop.
